I was busy having my Thursday’s routine when I received a text message from a friend that said: “have you already decorated your Christmas tree?”
Hmmm… it was a short and simple question. My answer is that I haven’t got any tree at all. But that text message has got me thinking about the impact of Christmas trees to these upcoming holidays.
Are they so essential that we simply cannot celebrate holidays without them? Or do we really need them just to put some presents underneath? What do they do or add to holidays?
“It is a tradition” one says
“They bring the cozyness” one says
“They are the most well known holiday symbols” one says
“The real Christmas trees are nicer then the artificial ones” one says
And so on …..
Seriously, it almost sounds like that our tradition, cozyness and holidays really depend on Christmas trees (the real ones preferably).
If, and only if that would be the case, then I would be probably having an artificial one because not only I can save it for next year (and years to come) but also I can help saving our emvironment.
Call me a dreamer or an idealist, but the truth is that those trees and our environment are truly depending on us, whether it’s holidays or not!
