Since I was a little girl, I have always been afraid of seeing the dentist. It’s nothing personal though, for my dentist is quite sweet and friendly. It is her dentist equipments that make me seriously nervous and agitated. And most of all, I really do dislike the numb feeling after going to the dentist.
Yesterday I was at the dentist. As expected, I begon to sweat and my heart begon to pump very fast (not in the positive way at all!). While I was busy being nervous, she said that she was going to give me a local anesthetic to ease the pain and I swear that I wouldn’t have minded if she would have knocked me down completely!
The torture went on for about 20 minutes and I couldn’t help feeling really numb afterward, so I spent the rest of the Friday evening feeling really miserable. Well, it wasn’t a bright, sunny day anyway. The weather was cold and unfriendly. The sky was grey and sad. Maybe the universe sympathized with me. I don’t know but at least, I am feeling better now.
