Have you got a lot of love to share? Share some with our animal this upcoming Valentine’s Day. Please support World Wildlife Fund by sending Valentine’s E-cards to your loved ones or take action by becoming the voice for those who has no voice. Thank you!

Psst: I know what you are:-)
Some cats (can) do some tricks, from walking funny to breakdancing (well, at least something that looks like breakdancing, with or without treats!).
Wilke, my neightbour’s cat does tricks too! It’s nothing fancy though, just walking and sniffing around. Wilke doesn’t do meowing (unless it’s dinnertime!). Have a look at Wilke’s tricks!

Let me quote one of my 5 Major New Year’s Resolutions:
3. Volunteering at local animal shelters: I love animals. Any kind of animals, especially cats. There are so many animal shelters that need help and support, and I am very sure that my contribution will be appriciated.
Due to my busy life and other activities, I haven’t been managed to sign up for volunteering at local animal shelters but let me introduce you to Fiffi and Donkey.

The chimpanzee Fiffi was locked up for almost thirty years in solitary confinement in the attic near Paris. Fiffi was found underfeed and lonely in that dark attic. She was freed by Stichting Aap (= Monkey Foundation) and has been sheltered in Chimpanzee Complex in Almere, the Netherlands, where she gets a lot of loving care she deserves.

The chimpanzee Donkey was chained for years to a car in Portugal. He was anxious and severely malnourished when Stichting Aap found him. After endless negotiations with the owner and the local authorities Donkey was finally able to be freed. Now he enjoys his stay and his freedom at Stichting Aap with other 11 chimpanzees.
Unfortunately, these kinds of rescue actions cost a lot of money. You and I can help and support Stichting Aap in so many ways including donating some money, adopting one or some of the animals, becoming their sponsor or doing what I do: placing their banners on my sites and blogs. There are 3 banners you can place on your sites/blogs:

Please save Air Miles for Stichting Aap. Saving does not cost you anything, but it means the difference between life and death for these animals.
Did you know that your empty cartridges and old cell phone has value to the Stichting Aap?

Empty cartridges are worth money. You can support Stichting Aap with empty toner cartridges from your printer, copier or fax.

Stichting Aap also collects old mobile phones. Handing your old mobile contributes to the care of the animals.
Whether supporting animals is one of your new year’s resolutions or not, please consider placing one of the banners on your sites/blogs, expecially Dutch sites/blogs. Of course, your other contributions are also most welcome and appreciated. Please note that your donations and contributions must directly be addressed to the Stichting Aap.
As long as I can remember, I have always considered supporting and helping humane societies, animal protection organisations and other good causes as my obligation and duty. I have a deep and instinctive lifetime interest in animals and I have been supporting World Wildlife Fund for years. Their work and dedication to our wildlife has always been one of the greatest inspirations in my life.
With the holidays are here, I simply cannot let myself just celebrating and enjoying all the food, drinks and presents without thinking of our wildlife. They are there and they count on you and me to support en ensure their existence.
Having said that, I would like to ask all of you to support World Wildlife Fund as well. Please spread the joy of the holidays and your passion for the environment to your family and friends with free holiday WWF e-cards. Their collection of animated and inspirational cards will definitely send love and cheer to your holidays. Some of their collections are:

Please send and spread these free holiday WWF e-cards and be inspired yourself! Have great holidays!
Okay, they say that cats are skilled predators. It has been known that they can hunt over 1,000 species for food. Cats also can be trained to obey simple commands.
And I have learned that individual cats have the ability to learn on their own to manipulate simple mechanisms, such as doorknobs and toilet handles.
Well, meet Otto, he belongs to a friend of mine. Sometimes Otto comes to stay over at my place for a few days. Except meowing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, eating, sleeping, playing, pooping and eating again, he doesn’t do any trick at all.
Why should he? For he has the softest fur, the cutest face, and the only thing he has to do to steal your heart, is simply being himself. Check how cute Otto is when he was “inspecting” his new bathroom:
