My slippery iPhone is too damn expensive to break!

Okay, pay attention: I love my iPhone 4 very much. Let me make myself very clear: I AM LOVING IT VERY VERY MUCH. I just didn’t know that this kind of love could be very slippery! I bought a very cute iPhone case, Angry Birds by Gear4.

It protected the iPhone quite well but the problem was that I have had moisture hands. So, despite the case I dropped my iPhone a few times, which also damaged the case. I NEEDED ANOTHER CASE!

After a long search on the internet, I’ve finally found an iPhone case that (I hope) would give me more protection and security. As you see, it ain’t all about beauty at all!

It’s called Game Case and made by Philips. “Comfort-grip design for better gaming” with this kind of motto, I truely hope that I won’t be dropping my iPhone as often as I did.

Let me make myself very clear (again?!) I am not a gamer but I need this case for the iPhone is too damn expensive to break!

Gifts that might keep your relationship alive!

This early morning I received a text message from a girlfriend of mine that said: “I need some tips on Valentine’s Day gifts, so, shall we do lunch tomorrow?” She thinks that I am some kind of expert in gifts, not because I AM an expert but because I have a motto in purchasing and giving gifts:

ALWAYS GIVE YOUR LOVE ONES A PROPER GIFT, OTHERWISE IS JUST INSULTING!

A gift should send a message that you actually care about the person you give a gift to, so show it and do not be cheap about it. I know that there are many ways to insult someone, including your loved ones, but using gifts to do it, is just tacky, rude and shamelessly cruel.

Let’s use the word “proper” then? Yes, PROPER! When it comes to gifts, I prefer to use the word PROPER instead of SURPRISING because something can go totally wrong when you try to surprise someone (or be surprised by someone, for that matter).

I remember one true story that a colleague of mine ones told me. She said that she had a very nice couple as her neighbours and friends. They were engaged to be married and for their Valentine’s Day he arranged a surprise gift for his fiance. It’s a very thoughtful idea of hem until she actually got her surprise gift! Two tickets for a private swing party! No doubt that both of them were willing to spice up their sexual life but a private swing party was too much to bear for her. A few months later they split up because she couldn’t help thinking and wondering whether her fiance was actually a regular swing party’s visitor behind her back! As you all know that uncertainties and doubts are two of many lethal weapons that can distroy relationships, any relationship.

So, what was the word I mentioned before? PROPER. If and when you want to give someone a gift, always ask for her/his wish list and surprise them with one of their wishes, not with something you think that they wish to receive. Believe me, it might even keep your relationship alive!

If you are too shy or something to ask someone for his/her wish list, you might consider these following wish lists, both for him and her.

Valentine’s Day gift tips for him:

  • Men watches
  • Electronics: TV & Home Theater, camera, cell phones, computer, notebook
  • Kindle gifts
  • Tools: multitools
  • Sports and outdoors: golf, exercise and fitness
  • Automotives
  • Books: wining and dining
  • Personal care: after shave and fragrance
  • Softwares: games, dvd’s

Valentine’s Day gift tips for her:

  • Fragrance
  • Jewelry
  • Beauty: make-up set, bath oils
  • Treats: candy, chocolates
  • Clothing, shoes and accessories
  • Fresh cut flowers
  • Books: sexual intimacy, erotic massages
  • Kitchen and home

You and I have about 9 days to shop for some proper gifts for our love ones. Whatever you do, do it properly and have fun with it!

Will I be purchasing the iPad?

I didn’t get much sleep last night. I don’t know why. Maybe because I could hear some noises across the street until late at night from those students who always keep on partying and stay up late every Thursday night. I remember those moments when I was a student meself. Besides studying, partying was always on my To-Do-list. But those moments are over. THANK GOD! Now I need my sleep to do my work properly. It’s pure and simple.

And guess what? Today is my day off!

Lucky me!

I always start my day off with reading all of my RSS-feeds. Yeah, I need to catch up on the latest news and gossips. What are new, ladies?

Obviously the iPad and all the reviews about the iPad have been dominating every front page on the internet since its launch on Wednesday. I just caught some of those reviews:

“I think this is kind of a waste right now, especially for people who already have iPhones and iPod Touches, because it does the same things.”

“I think this would be great for high school. You can put your textbooks on it.”

“The iPad was supposed to change the face of computing, to be a completely new form of digital experience. But what Steve Jobs showed us yesterday was in fact little more than a giant iPhone. A giant iPhone that doesn’t even make calls. Many were expecting cameras, kickstands and some crazy new form of text input. The iPad, though, is better defined by what isn’t there.”

They are not exactly praising reviews; in fact there is one article that has summed up the 10 things missing from the iPad. I suppose there are just the ten things to start with, from lacking of Flash, OLED, USB, GPS, Multitasking capabilities, Keyboard, Camera, Verizon, 4:3-ratio to HDMI. It was also mentioned that the lack of Flash in the iPad might be what kills Flash itself.

I repeat: lack of Flash in the iPad might be what kills Flash itself. REALLY? I think it’s the most exaggerated review I have ever read in a few days.

If it’s all up to me, people can go on and on with their reviews and debats about the iPod’s pros and cons. I truely believe that sometimes there are just too high expectations that a gadget like iPad is capable to fulfill.

I know meself and I’ll keep on wanting and needing one particulair gadget – and preferably the smallest and the smartest gadget – that can do (ALMOST) all the things that I need to do. And if and when I have found that gadget, I am very sure that my endless needs will be wanting, needing and requiring another gadget that is even smaller (if not bigger!) and smarter than the previous one.

I know what you are all wondering, ladies. Will I be purchasing the iPad?

Are you kidding me, ladies?

That giant iPhone doesn’t even make phonecalls!

Sensitive Images?

Some of us call it a cell phone, some of us call it a handphone and some of us call it a mobile phone. Whatever you call it, I simply talk about one and the same thing, a gsm. Mine is the Experia X1 from Sony Ericsson. It is a must-have that has become one of my daily necessities.

The things I like about the Experia X1 are the facts that it is a mini version of my laptop in term of functionality, I can actually customise it to suit my own lifestyle and above other thing, I love those wonderfull background images very much. Honestly, I am very sensitive to images or are they simply sensitive images?
